Hello Neighbors & Friends, Lincoln Public Hearing & Vote Tuesday March 24th: Starting at 6pm, the school board is expected to have a final public hearing, board discussion & vote on the proposal to consolidate the middle schools (likely close Lincoln for ‘27-’28 school year). Though not out yet, school board agendas & Zoom links are found here. The meeting is open to the public in-person and via Zoom. Here’s the March 10th school board meeting video w/ public comment & discussion on the consolidation proposal. Of note, an amendment was brought forward to remove immediate consolidation from the proposal and instead have it evaluate and seek ways to improve middle school education (which ultimately could or could not include consolidation). Join Our Neighborhood Cleanup Sunday April 25th: Spring (we hope!) is right around the corner… With that in mind we’re excited to announce the 2026 Deering Center Spring Neighborhood Cleanup on Saturday April 25th from 10am to 12pm. Have you asked them if they've heard about our Garden Ramble? The 2026 Deering Center Garden Ramble is gearing up. DCNA’s Neighborhood Business Committee (NBC)’s Next Meeting Monday May 11th: At Rambler Cafe from 5-6pm, all Deering Center business owners are welcome, with the goal to create a space to gather, share news, explore ideas & events, and work together to support our business community. If you can't make it but have news to share, we're happy to include that in the agenda. NBC will be meeting every other month on the 2nd Monday at Rambler from 5-6pm.
