Hello neighbors & friends, We’re looking at a tricky weather forecast for the 12-5pm hours of Porchfest tomorrow. After last year’s first ever cancellation, we made some adjustments. As of now, the forecasts are for light rain showers (less than .1 inch/hour), lessening after 11am. Here’s our new rain policy and plan for tomorrow: If light rain, Porchfest will continue as normal. If steady to heavy rain or worse, we’ll cancel hourly time slots of music as needed. For example, if heavy rain at 1pm, then the 1pm time slot would be cancelled. If it clears within that hour, music would be on for the 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm time slots.

Ideally, there would be a rain date, but with over 500 people volunteering with 90+ bands, that is not logistically possible for us. Last year’s event was cancelled because it rained in the morning with a forecast of worsening steady rain for the rest of the day — and then it turned out the forecast was wrong and it was a nice afternoon.
