This year Porchfest will showcase 90+ musical performances throughout Deering Center. Each year more than 500 individuals make this event happen through volunteering with logistics, performing, and hosting. It’s truly a community effort! Volunteer Ambassadors Needed! Porchfest Ambassadors are community members that volunteer for an hour time slot to support day-of efforts for Porchfest, ensuring a safe event for all by assisting with traffic monitoring, bands and their gear, and attendee questions. SPECIAL NOTES
Family First: Porchfest is a family event and children of all ages are in attendance. Please be mindful of the laws in place regarding public consumption of alcohol and be a positive role model for our young people.
Politics: We ask that political candidates or campaigns do not engage in political activities at Porchfest.
Selling Goods: Porchfest is a gift to and from our community with the spirit of gifting and non-monetary exchange as a central value. We ask people not to sell food, drinks or goods in the Porchfest area. For more on this please see the Guiding Principles below.
Inclement Weather Policy: Porchfest takes place light rain or shine — there is no rain date. Here's what to expect:
Light or intermittent rain: The event continues but some performances may not occur. We recommend bringing an umbrella or rain gear!
Steady rain and/or Severe weather (lightning, thunder, hail): Affected time slots will be canceled on an as-needed basis; all other time slots continue as planned with reassessment closer to each time slot.
Full cancellation: If steady rain or severe weather persists throughout the day or the National Weather Service issues warnings, the event will be cancelled. Read the full Inclement Weather Policy.
